My name is Summer Breeze Butler. I know, right? Either my mother was going through some kind of hippy phase that summer, or she’d had one too many blows to the head, the latter being the most plausible explanation.

From the very first page, I was hooked! I wanted more and couldn't turn the pages fast enough! I really felt for Bree. I cannot believe it ended the way it did! U need the next book asap! I love finding books by authors whose work I haven't read before. I will definitely be reading all of this authors books!!

This book did not end the way I expected at all. Very shocked at the end. It was quite disturbing knowing that things like this happen in real life.
Good book. Purchased for someone else.
This book is an eye opener. It gives you a small glimpse into the life of a woman who is in an abusive relationship.
I couldn't stop reading because I kept hoping it would have a happy ending. I became angry, sad, and uncomfortable at times. The writing was really good.
I enjoyed this quick read. It definitely kept me hooked and not wanting to stop reading. It had some steamy moments which are a plus. Can't wait to read the next one. I would definitely recommend this read.
The author's style and characterization made this part of the trilogy an interesting and fast read. I found my heart breaking,though, because of the tender way physical and sexual abuse are introduced into the plot. I am anxious to begin the second part.
Absolutely loved it! I couldn't put it down. I could not imagine going through any type of abuse. Sad that she grew up in that environment and her mother told her that was the fate for the women in their family. It was great that she was at least smart and strong enough to know she shouldn't bring a child into the situation and towards the end finally willing to break free from the abuse. ...No one is undeserving... I can't wait to read the next one! <3
